Jason Williams is an ordained minister of the Gospel, author, speaker, outdoorsman, and longtime public servant whose life and message bridge faith, purpose, recovery, and the outdoor community.

At 49 years old, Jason brings a rare combination of lived experience, spiritual conviction, and practical wisdom. He has walked with Christ for 12 years and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel on August 25, 2024. His ministry has reached people across the country through writing, speaking, online devotionals, podcasts, social media, and the growing community of Waterfowlers For Christ.

For the past 11 years, Jason has served as an administrator for Waterfowlers For Christ, a faith-based outdoor community with more than 22,000 followers on Facebook. Through this platform, he has shared weekly devotional thoughts, encouraged men and women in their faith, and helped lead many people to Christ. His writings and teachings speak to the everyday believer, the outdoorsman, the working man, and anyone searching for meaning, discipline, healing, and a deeper relationship with God.

Jason is the author of three books, including a 365-day devotional titled Committed to the Call. This 700-page devotional work has reached number one in Amazon’s hunting category multiple times, further establishing Jason as a respected voice in the outdoor ministry space. His writing has also been featured in Duck Huntin’ Magazine, digital outdoor publications, and frequently on the Livin’ Loud Outdoors podcast with host Buster Holzer. He has been interviewed by respected voices in the waterfowl world, including Elliot Snider on The North American Waterfowler podcast and Ramsey Russell on It’s Duck Season Somewhere.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Jason has been pursuing waterfowl since the age of 17 and has spent 32 years hunting ducks and geese. He is also a hobby waterfowl taxidermist, fisherman, mushroom forager, gardener, and moth and butterfly enthusiast. His love for creation deeply influences his ministry, writing, and speaking. His next devotional project is already in development, continuing his mission to help people see God’s hand through the natural world.

Beyond ministry and the outdoors, Jason has built a life of service, discipline, and perseverance. He worked 13 years as a janitor before beginning a 19-year career as a New York State Corrections Officer in a maximum-security prison. That experience gave him firsthand insight into brokenness, accountability, redemption, trauma, leadership, and the human need for hope. His background allows him to speak with authenticity to people from all walks of life, including those facing addiction, hardship, incarceration, recovery, or spiritual emptiness.

Jason also taught Celebrate Recovery at the Transformation Life Center for one year, helping individuals work through pain, addiction, and life-controlling struggles through a Christ-centered recovery process. His ability to combine Scripture, honesty, humor, and real-world experience makes him a relatable and impactful voice for churches, men’s groups, recovery programs, outdoor ministries, conferences, podcasts, and community events.

His education includes college studies in psychology and an Associate Degree in Business Administration. While carrying a full-time job and taking 19 college credits, Jason earned Dean’s List honors during his first semester with a 3.45 GPA. In high school, he was also awarded a scholarship to the Culinary Institute, reflecting his early discipline, creativity, and commitment to excellence.

As a father of three, Jason understands the importance of legacy, responsibility, faith, and perseverance. Whether he is preaching the Gospel, speaking at an event, writing devotionals, encouraging outdoorsmen, teaching recovery principles, or sharing lessons from decades in corrections and the field, Jason’s heart remains the same: to point people to Jesus Christ and help them discover purpose, strength, and hope.

Jason has flown state to state for speaking engagements and continues to broaden his ministry and speaking platform. His message is especially powerful for audiences seeking faith-based encouragement, men’s ministry, outdoor ministry, recovery support, leadership development, testimony-based teaching, and practical biblical wisdom for everyday life.

With decades of experience in the outdoors, nearly two decades in corrections, years of ministry leadership, three published books, and a growing national reach, Jason Williams is a compelling speaker, writer, and minister whose story continues to impact lives far beyond the blind, the prison walls, and the church pew.

Utilizing three decades of experience in the field, we incorporate real-life adventures with scriptural reference to help readers make easier connections between the two. Let's be brutally honest... most people will never read the Bible, cover to cover. It just won't happen but hunters love to share stories. So we have taken the hunter's love for story-sharing and fashioned it into a series of books that spoon-feed their readers a little "spiritual milk" while simultaneously providing much larger doses of  meat. The nostalgia inspiring tales will resonate with outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen who truly love spending time in creation and we strive to give you great books that can be enjoyed in season or out.
